Meetings and Events

Currently, our chapter meets monthly with the exception of January. Our meetings are followed by interesting presentations and wonderful guest speakers who present programs about our mission areas. We enjoy sharing our love of historic homes and buildings and schedule several day trips throughout the year. Our day trips have included- old grist mills, underground railroad houses, numerous historic homes, local Indian Reservations, historic museums and parks. Currently, we are working to offer meetings that will better accommodate working women and those with busy schedules.

Our chapter has educational events at our local library, engaging with the children of the community and helping to instill a sense of pride and respect for our country and its rich history. We design a Constitution Week display at two local libraries during Constitution Week in September.

Weekly in good weather our chapter can be found at our adopted cemetery. We enthusiastically encourage the community to join us, especially our youngest citizens. Many school-age children are fascinated with our work at the cemetery, they love learning how to care for the headstones and enjoy creating stories as to what life may have been like when that person was alive.
