What is DAR
Founded in 1890, the DAR has grown to over 1 million members since that date.
The women who make up our membership are varied and come from all walks of life, yet we share a common bond of tracing our ancestry back to those who helped gain our nation’s independence. We are committed to honoring our nation’s past by serving our communities today.
